Division 2 – George Babcock
George Babcock joined the Fair Oaks Water District Board of Directors in 2025. A Fair Oaks resident since 1996, he has been actively engaged in water policy and governance issues for more than a decade, regularly attending and contributing to Fair Oaks Water District and San Juan Water District board meetings and activities.
George's professional background includes years with the California Department of Health Services, performing analytical and auditing functions that provided financial oversight and analytical expertise valuable to guiding FOWD operations. Prior to retiring, he served as an analyst in the Fiscal Forecasting and Data Management Branch, where he was responsible for estimating Medi-Cal beneficiary enrollment for the State budget.
George holds bachelor’s degrees in business and fine arts from the University of New Mexico. His public service experience includes serving in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Forest Service, managing a crisis counseling center, and working as a technical writer for computer software programs for a county welfare department.
George brings a lifetime of public service, analytical expertise, and community involvement to the Board.
