Randy Marx is the director representing Fair Oaks Water District Division 4. First elected to the board in 2004, Mr. Marx has lived in the Fair Oaks Village area since 1987. His family consists of his wife, Cynthia, and children, Elliot and Emily. Mr. Marx is a Research Engineer at the Sacramento State Office of Water Programs, a non-profit organization. He manages a $50M grant program which provides improvements to drinking water systems at disadvantaged communities throughout California.  Mr. Marx is also on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Groundwater Authority and the Sacramento Regional Water Authority. Mr. Marx has a master’s degree in environmental engineering and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stanford University. He enjoys running, tennis, and biking, and in fact, has been commuting on his bike to school/work since first grade.
